Carsington Water is close by and offers cycle hire and bridle paths round the reservoir with a RSPB viewing area.
The town of Matlock and Matlock Bath is a short drive away where a visit to Cromford Mill and the Arkwright Centre, part of the World Heritage Centre is well worth a visit. The town of Ashbourne is a bustling market town and near the fantastic walking area of Dovedale, where the stepping stones cross the River Dove.
The famous market town of Bakewell is a short drive away and has a local market every Monday offering local produce. The stunning stately home of Chatsworth and its gardens are very close by, with Haddon Hall within easy reach.

First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With King size bed. Additional single fold away bed available on request.
Bedroom 2: With single bed.
Family bathroom with shower over bath, WC, wash basin, shaver point and heated towel rail.
Facilities/Miscellaneous
All fuel for the background heating, all power, bed linen and towels included. Buxton Cottage has a rear parking facility which is very convenient. Enclosed rear garden. Cot and highchair on request. First bag of logs, sticks and lighters provided, additional on request at a charge of £5 direct with owner.
Regrettably pets are not allowed in the cottage.
