Description
The Waiting Room Holiday Cottage has undertaken a complete ground-up restoration which has turned it from a former derelict building into luxuriously appointed holiday accommodation.

Because the cottage only has the one bedroom it is ideally suited to a couple. Having stated that, the owners would like anyone thinking of paying a visit to know all guests are welcome. Therefore provision has been made for another person/couple, or those people with an older child, by way of a double sofa bed in the living room.

Please note that the tourism board points are based on one couple staying and so there is only a small additional charge for increased numbers staying, as the owners have taken into account the slight inconvenience of having to set up and put away the sofa bed each day. However for those guests who do wish to take advantage of this option, the kitchen is fully equipped to cope with up to four guests and the living room can seat four comfortably. Additionally on arrival an additional duvet, sheets and pillows will be made available.

Because of access, we would not recommend the cottage to anybody with mobility problems or young children.

Accommodation
The main entrance door opens into a porch area. This has an under floor heated, tiled floor and is suitable for the storage of bicycles, walking boots and coats.

Immediately off the porch are the living room and bathroom. The latter has been luxuriously appointed and contains a spacious wet room. The bathroom also has under floor heating and a large heated towel rail.

The door immediately on the left of the porch brings guests into the spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living room. In this room the owners have retained the vaulted ceiling which contains two large dimmer controlled eight candle Victorian brass light fittings The kitchen which is brand new, contains a washing machine and drier, dishwasher, double oven, hob and extractor. There is also a convenient breakfast bar. The living room contains a spacious three seater sofa and two comfortable arm chairs as well as a hi-fi and TV with DVD player. There is a wood burning stove for those cosy winter evenings and the owners will supply one basket of logs free of charge and additional ones at £1.00/basket.

The windows in the open plan room are secondary glazed and have quality roman blinds for a peaceful atmosphere. In addition to the stove there is under floor heating and a panel heater for a blast of immediate heat if required.

Off the living room is the bedroom which also has a vaulted ceiling to retain a feel of spaciousness. The bedroom contains a quality double bed, two bedside cabinets, a dressing table and wardrobe. This room also has under floor heating and a panel heater and as with the main room the window is secondary glazed and has a roman blind.
