Curlew Cottage has a spacious lounge with beamed ceiling, ambient lighting and a magnificent stone fireplace housing a glowing log-burning stove.
The dining area has an oak dining table and the sitting area has a luxuriously comfortable suite, flat screen TV, DVD and CD/radio/cassette playerOff the lounge the superbly fitted kitchen boasts exposed beams, high quality kitchen units, fitted hob and oven, microwave, fridge and automatic washing machine.
On the first floor you will discover a luxurious double bedroom with exposed beamed ceiling, warm lighting, a TV and an original French cast iron bed.
Next door to the bedroom there is an elegant bathroom with exposed beams, an original French cast iron bath, WC and separate shower.
Curlew Cottage lays conveniently at the heart of the famous unspoilt Peak District National Park, full of breathtaking views and magical landscapes. It is in an ideal location for walking and exploring the world famous rock climbing area.
Windmill is a sleepy hamlet, set underneath the dramatic Hucklow Edge and is the perfect base from which to explore numerous accessible attractions ,such as the old market town of Tideswell (2 miles) with its magnificent church known as, “The cathedral of the Peak”, the historical village of Castleton (4 miles) with its castle and Blue John caverns and the plague village of Eyam (4 miles). Hathersage with the site of Little Johns grave and the famous location of Stanage Edge is just 5 miles away.
Whatever the season or the weather, a visit to Curlew Cottage, Windmill, is one not to be missed.
For those with a sense of history there are numerous magnificent historic houses, all within a few miles. These include Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Eyam Hall and Lyme Hall – all of which offer excellent days out.
