Description Welcome to Netherton and our 3 beautiful luxurious self-catering holiday cottages sleeping from 2 up to 14 people,  the cottages are individually designed and fitted to 5 star standard and with our indoor swimming pool due to be finished by June 2011 you can have the perfect combination of rest and play. We are in the hamlet of Bradbourne near Ashbourne in heart of Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District close to Carsington Water.   We have fabulous walks and rides from the doorstep.  We have everything you could want for a perfect holiday. Your pets can also enjoy your holiday, we are dog friendly and with our livery stables you can bring your horse along to to enjoy the scenery and use the excellent facilities.   DUMBLE COTTAGE - sleeps 2 Dumble Cottage has been carefully restored and converted from one of the original 17th Century buildings in the curtilage of Netherton Hall.  We have taken great care to preserve the original character of the building but also to give you a very high quality cottage. Dumble is entirely on ground floor level (although there are a couple of steps down to the dining and sitting rooms).  It sleeps two people with one double bedroom which has a stunning metal four poster bed. The dining room has seating for four in case you have friends around and sitting room has a comfey chair and sofa with views across the fields towards Brassington where you can relax in front of the log burning stove. Dumble has a traditional shaker style solid oak kitchen with top quality appliance and a full range of equipment for the keen cook.  The bathroom is fitted withVilleroy & Bosch sanitary ware with a bath and shower combined. HAVEN COTTAGE - sleeps 4 Haven Cottage is named after Havenhill, the beautiful rugged hill you see looking due east of Netherton.  Haven was converted from a 17th Century barn and has just had a solid oak floor put in the sitting room along with a log burner.  Haven sleeps 4 people, and everyone who has stayed has loved it, it is an idylic and luxurious home from home. • All Bedding & Towels provided • Aga Log Burner & Logs • Top Quality Kitchen Appliances – Oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine • Free sat TV and Wireless Internet Access • Flat screen TV, IPod Doc, CD • Slipper bath, large separate shower On the ground floor is a very large sitting room the ideal place to unwind in comfort after a day out in the Dales.  There is satelite TV, DVD and stereo CD, Wifi connection along with the games and films for you to use.  On the ground floor there is also a large kitchen diner fully equipped with fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs there is a stunning master bedroom decorated in aquamarine with its own walk in wardrobe, the second bedroom has two adult size bunkbeds.  The bathroom is very spacious and has a large shower and separate freestanding roll top bath, perfect to soak away the day.  On your arrival you will have a welcome basket with bread, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and a bottle of wine to get you settled in. Outside is a private fenced patio area with a barbeque, table, chairs and a chimnea for dining out or watching the sun go down.  Or you can walk around to the paddock behind the cottages which goes down to the stream. WINN COTTAGE - sleeps 8 Winn Cottage is named after the hill between Nether Bradbourne and Kniveton known as The Winn. Winn Cottage is steeped in historical features including the original stone flagged steps outside of the barn, mullioned windows and wooden beams complimented by beautiful contemporary interiors mixed with antique furniture. Winn has 4 bedrooms (3 of which can be  as twin or king size beds) and 2 bathrooms (1 bath and 1 with a shower) and sleeps a maximum of 8 people including children and babies. Winn is finished to an exceptionally high standard with contemporary furniture mixed with antique pieces giving a very comfortable but high quality feel.  Winn has all modern amenities you could need blending perfectly with the original 17 Century features of this classic Derbyshire building. Winn has a large private fenced patio area with table and chairs as well as a barbeque and chimnea for dining out.  Behind Winn is the paddock where you can walk down to the stream or sit and relax and watch the sun go down.  A place to escape to, you can throw a log on the wood burner, then slide into those egyptian cotton sheets,  relax and feel the peace and quiet the Derbyshire  Countryside can offer. The Swimming Pool Complex Work is well underway on the indoor swimming pool.  It will be 12 meters by 5 meters with a large seating area to relax after your swim.  On our website you can see an artist’s impression of the swimming pool showing the large double glazed windows which will allow amazing views across the landscape although you might get the occasional horse looking back at you. The windows are now in the swimming pool hall and look fantastic in black against the wood cladding on the outside of the building.  The inside of the pool has been screeded and rendered ready for tiling and Ken is building the changing room. The first batch of tiles have arrived and the next stage is to start the tiling so we think we are on course for the pool to be finished and ready by the beginning of June 2011. The pool and whole of the leisure area will be heated by Air Source Heat pumps which seem to be the most energy efficient and environmentally friendly way of keeping everything constantly warm. There will be a family changing room, shower and toilet but you will only have to walk a few steps from your cottage to get to the pool.  We will keep you updated on the progress of the swimming pool..
