Crich is a Derbyshire village on the border of the Peak District National Park and is within the Borough of Amber Valley. It is now home to a memorial to the men of the Sherwood Foresters regiment, most of whom came from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Each year on the first Sunday in July a Pilgrimage and Service is held at the Memorial site.
The popular T.V. medical drama "Peak Practice" used Crich as the fictional village of Cardale and many fans of the series make a pilgrimage to Crich. With pubs, shops and a fish and chip shop there is everything you could need for one of the luxury holiday cottages in the area.
