This 300 year old stone cottage has been lovingly renovated to a stunning standard. Warm cream walls, deep oak window ledges, classic country furniture. Delightful in the summer, cozy on the coldest winter day. Full central heating and a roaring log fire if you wish.
Downstairs the floors are limestone flagged with under floor heating. Upstairs beautiful solid wood bamboo flooring.
Two double en suite bedrooms made up with fine linen on king size beds and one twin bedroom with superb bathroom, free standing bath and shower too! Sparkling bathrooms that thrill, fluffy towels, bathrobes, soaps and scents. Hot shower or deep bath, warm under floor heated tiles. Downstairs cloakroom also.
Large charming country kitchen leading to the terraced garden perfect for an alfresco breakfast. Range cooker, dish wash, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer, microwave.
Doze over a book or glass of wine in a deep leather chair in the beamed sitting room.
Dine by candlelight in the library room.
Sit and while away the time on a summers evening in the prettily planted secluded courtyard and terraced gardens.
Climb the hills or walk in the Derbyshire Peaks. No need to take the car you can walk from the door in beautiful countryside or wander down the pretty footpaths that surround the village. Marvel at nearby Chatsworth or visit the market Towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell.
You can pop next door to the Red Lion a quiet country Inn serving lovely food.
We have spent 2 years renovating Red Lion Cottage so you have all the advantages of a 300 year old country retreat with 21st Century modern living. Ancient three foot thick walls but space age insulation to keep the cottage snug and warm and quiet to the outside world.
Red Lion is a really special cottage, one day we hope to live there too!
Go on spoil yourselves, walk, talk, relax, soak up the peace of our idyllic location and come back to a roaring real fire to laze by.
There are plenty of parking spaces close to the cottage.
Included: Welcome pack. Central heating and logs for the winter months. Linen and towels. Free Wi-Fi for Internet access, Hair Dryer, Games, books and puzzles. Boules which you can play at the pub next door.
Bookings for Red Lion Cottage run from Friday to Friday. Time of arrival 4pm onwards (unless otherwise arranged). Departure 10.00am to 10.30am unless otherwise arranged. Please Collect the keys from the farm on arrival.
