Description
Hayfield’s exclusive country retreat 4 fabulous boutique style cottages have opened in Hayfield, which redefine the standards of guesthouse accommodation.
The project is the brainchild of Helen Wild who spotted a niche in the market waiting to be filled, and with her partner, local businessman Richard Hallam, she has spared neither time nor expense to transform the Victorian buildings in the heart of Hayfield village into luxurious and contemporary country retreats.
And the idea is helped by the location – not only surrounded by Hayfield’s renowned Alpine scenery, The Bridge End, Mary Miller’s Cottage and Mary Miller’s Paper Shop are set amongst a number of high class eateries, with the recently reopened Packhorse Bar & Restaurant nearby.
‘Hayfield accommodation is quickly booked up every summer because the village is a honey trap for walkers, climbers, mountain bikers or couples seeking a romantic getaway and I realised that there was a need for more accommodation,’ she said. ‘We wanted to be different and offer our guests something special so the emphasis at The Bridge End is on luxury with fabulous décor and furnishings”.
For those seeking a more active break, our Lyme View cottage is ideal. There is a storage area for bikes, and a cleaning and workshop area. Conveniently situated in Little Hayfield, Lyme View offers easy access to some of the best cycling routes in the Peak District.
