Description
This cottage is located in the Peak District and is an ideal base from which to experience all aspects of holidaying in the region. There are some outstanding views across the surrounding countryside towards the nearby Manifold Trail where walking and cycling can be enjoyed. The entire area is steeped in history and contains many National Trust properties, great houses and magnificent gardens. It is surrounded by some of the prettiest villages in England, with fine pubs, shops and restaurants. With so many family attractions close by, including Alton Towers, Matlock Bath,  Chatsworth and the Potteries, such as Wedgwood, Royal Doulton and Spode, there is something for the whole family to enjoy.

West Side Barn has beamed ceilings throughout giving the property plenty of character, and has been converted in recent years to provide spacious and high quality accommodation in a delightful rural location.

You enter the accommodation from the long patio area, to the front of the cottage, into the tiled and glazed reception hall.  To your left is the full and well equipped kitchen with all the essentials that you will require for your stay.

The kitchen opens to a dining and lounge area, with a log burning stove being the focal point, and the vaulted, beamed, trussed ceiling adding to its charm.

Also on the ground floor is a good sized bedroom with two single beds that can be linked together on request to make a large double bed. There is also, on the ground floor, a wet room containing a shower, toilet, wash-basin and electric shaver point. This feature of ground floor bedroom and wet room is ideal for someone with reduced mobility.

The stairs lead to the first floor which has a second, good sized, bedroom on the right.  This has a double bed, exposed king post truss, oak flooring and its own en-suite bathroom, with bath and shower over, toilet, handbasin and electric shaver point.
Also on this floor is a further bedroom with a sofa-bed. This room is more suited to a child’s room or can be used for occasional use as a small sitting room or study. It has its own television and games console.

There are two areas for sitting out, the front paved patio area and another graveled area at the rear.  The view down the Manifold River valley can be enjoyed from both of these.
